Here’s What Educators Are Saying!

"Molly Withers and The Golden Tree" is an excellent novel which can be read to the class for many reasons. Kent Rees did an excellent job incorporating such an important message for today's youth and we were fortunate enough to have him visit our classroom through SKYPE! If you aren't in the greater Toronto area, I encourage you to set up a time where he can speak to your students using this great technology!  It was a motivating experience to hear Mr. Rees discuss the writing process, the world of publishing, and the very real magic he has discovered!

“The students could not wait to tell me all about it. They are over the moon about you and your book. Many of them are begging for extra reading time….music to a teacher’s ears!”

~ St. Ambrose School, Cambridge.

"Kent's presentation to our junior students inspired them to follow their dreams; anything is possible! His explanation of the creative writing process helped the kids make authentic connections to their classroom writing experiences!"

~ Huron Heights Public School, Kincardine.

“Enchanting story! A great message of hope! An inspiring tale that has something for everyone!”

~ Holy Spirit School, Cambridge.

“What a wonderful book with rich characters and an absolutely riveting plot! My students and I could not put [it] down until we read the last page. The message of believing in your dreams inspires hope and courage in our young people...we are all looking forward to the sequel.”

~ Port Elgin-Saugeen Central, Port Elgin.

Have An International Selling Author Inspire Your Students!

After seeing Rhonda Byrne’s paradigm-shifting movie ‘The Secret,’ Kent was inspired to package the film’s message in such a way that children would understand and come to believe in their limitless potential. Working in harmony with the belief that we can all have, do, and be anything we want, Kent wrote and published Molly Withers inside of one year, and was scheduling book signings coast to coast. In 2010, Molly Withers and the Golden Tree was selected as on official celebrity gift by RADIO DISNEY! Yes, Kent has used these insights to launch his dream career and he now lives a life that is abundant in all areas.

And What He Has For Himself, He Wants For You And Your Students!

Kent’s keynote speeches are chiefly aimed at grades 4-7, and though there is certainly an inspiring theme, he also discusses the process of publishing – from having an idea, to putting it on paper, to getting it in print. He also emphasizes the importance of description, plot development, creating interesting characters, and, of course.... READING!

Perhaps a high energy discussion of this nature would be a good fit for your students.

The fee for school visits is only $200, and this includes a 60 minute discussion/reading, plus 3 signed copies of the book for the school. Note: if your location is more than an hour’s drive from Toronto, a slight additional fee may be requested.

We also request an order form (which will be emailed to you) to be sent home with the students at least one week prior to the visit, so parents/students have the opportunity to purchase a discounted book on the day of the event.

For more information, kindly Email Us, including up to three possible dates, time, grades, and number of students expected.
